Tony discovers that someone is taking alcohol from the pub as the stock levels aren’t matching with the takings. As Diane struggles to see Marie and Tony getting along so well, she continues to lie for attention by claiming that she has relapsed with her drinking once again.
In reality, Diane has figured out that Ro is the one taking the alcohol and she finds empty wine bottles in his room. Diane confronts Ro, but he claims that she only cares about getting Tony back.
As Tony fusses over Diane by cooking for her, Ro heads to the park and starts drinking again. Arlo sees Ro and responds cruelly by making more transphobic comments.
Things come to a head when Ro passes out on the floor of his bedroom.
Meanwhile, following the shocking events that took place at Christmas, the villagers are all still reeling and the McQueens are on different paths.
Elsewhere, Freddie comes to a realisation over the hurt that he has caused.
