Neighbours star Matt Wilson and his wife Jessica have revealed that they have welcomed their third child together.
The Aaron Brennan actor shared the news on Instagram that Jessica has given birth to a baby girl, revealing that their daughter was unexpectedly born at home.
Alongside a photo of Jessica sitting in bed holding the new arrival, Matt wrote: “What can I say but WOW.
“My superstar @jessicaleewilson1 was so ready for this moment. She’s been wanting a girl and we finally got her in a moment we’ll never forget.”
He went on to explain that their daughter was born in the bath after a short 33 minute labour, with just the couple and Matt’s mum in the room.
“I’m so proud of @jessicaleewilson1 and my mum!” he wrote. “And stoked the boys got to come in and say hello while she was still attached to the umbilical cord before the ambos and midwives arrived. What a beautiful thing!”
He completed his caption by saying, “Our family is complete”, with the post featuring a series of photos from the aftermath of the birth, including one of the new baby meeting one of her older brothers.
Jessica also shared an announcement post alongside an adorable black and white photo of the new baby, writing: “Shes here … Our daughter. Our everything.”
She added that their daughter was born “in the house Matt grew up in”, saying: “Her first moments on earth were spent together with the boys running in not long after to meet her. The birth was fast, a bit chaotic and not exactly how we planned but it was magical in every way.”
The couple received lots of congratulatory messages from their friends and followers, with Neighbours and Coronation Street star Ryan Thomas writing, “Congratulations guys” alongside four heart emojis.
Tim Kano, who plays Leo Tanaka, wrote, “Yessssssssss fam!” while Bea Nilsson star Bonnie Anderson commented, “Wow you guys … beyond incredible! So happy for you all”.
Matt and Jessica married in February 2019 in a low-key ceremony, before welcoming their sons in February 2021 and February 2023.
