9 huge Neighbours spoilers for next week – Paul’s dark threat and Max caught out
Neighbours spoilers follow.
Next week on Neighbours, Paul and Nell’s tensions grow further as Terese struggles to play peacemaker.
Elsewhere, the reasons for Taye’s arrival on Ramsay Street are explained, and Jane has second thoughts over her relationship with Clint.
Here’s our full guide to nine big moments coming up.
1. Paul threatens Nell
Paul remains uneasy after being blocked from spending any time at No.22. Terese stands by her decision to keep the house as a Paul-free zone out of respect for Nell.
Paul’s unhappiness grows when he finds a sketch that Nell recently drew, showing her old family set-up with Terese, Toadie and Hugo. He also discovers that Nell brought Terese’s tracksuit pants home from the Sonya Rebecchi Foundation – yet another reminder of Terese’s romantic history with Toadie.
Losing patience, Paul darkly warns Nell that things won’t end well for her if she keeps interfering in his relationship with Terese.
2. Nell and Paul’s tensions grow further
Nell tells Terese about Paul’s threatening behaviour. When Terese confronts Paul, he defends his actions and insists that Nell is trying to break them up.
With help from Aaron, an emotional Paul starts to realise that his growing annoyance towards Nell is fuelled by grief as the first anniversary of David’s death approaches.
Paul tries his best to make amends with Nell and she seems to be understanding. However, once Nell is alone with JJ, she’s revealed to be completely unmoved as she declares that Paul is the last person who Terese should be in a relationship with.
3. JJ and Dex reunite with Taye
JJ and Dex return home from New York and discover that their uncle Taye – Remi’s brother – has been hiding out at the Varga-Murphy house. Taye admits that he had to flee from his previous home in Apollo Bay and knew that the Varga-Murphy house would be empty.
Later, JJ and Dex convince Andrew to let them look after themselves until Remi and Cara return. Andrew agrees, unaware that JJ and Dex want to focus on helping Taye continue hiding out.
4. Taye proves to be a bad influence
Dex enjoys having Taye around, but JJ spots some early signs that he’s going to be trouble. Taye has a mischievous presence around the house, which quickly starts to influence Dex’s behaviour.
Things escalate when Taye offers Dex a beer at home, even though he’s underage. Dex wants to seem “cool” in front of his uncle and succumbs to the pressure to start drinking.
5. Jane makes a discovery about Clint
Jane enjoys another date with Clint and is pleased when her new man even manages to secure Byron’s seal of approval. However, things take an unexpected turn when Jane meets the new cleaner at Erinsborough High and it turns out to be Clint.
Jane’s stance towards Clint immediately changes, as she’s determined not to have a relationship with an employee. Aaron and Nicolette suspect a different motivation and accuse Jane of being snobbish towards Clint’s cleaning job, which she denies.
Jane breaks up with Clint and puts him on night shifts so they won’t have to cross paths. However, her problems clearly aren’t over when she learns that Clint will be doing day shifts next door at Eirini Rising.
6. Holly discovers Max’s secret
Holly is at a loose end after failing to get her Lassiters job back. She ends up offering to help Max at the garage, as he isn’t back at full strength following his accident at the Lights Up event.
There’s a growing bond between the pair, but Holly is surprised when Max freaks out over the arrival of two tough-looking strangers in a car with Queensland number plates.
Under pressure to explain himself, Max admits that he came to Ramsay Street to escape a dangerous situation at home in Brisbane. Holly is shocked to hear the details, but Max’s honesty brings them closer.
7. Krista makes worrying discoveries
Sebastian shares a theory with Krista, speculating that Leo asked Nicolette to fire him from the café. Krista refuses to believe that Leo would be so sneaky, but she later makes some big discoveries over Leo and Nicolette’s recent behaviour.
Sebastian believes that he’s making strong progress in the battle for Krista’s affections and he encourages her to cut Leo out of her life for good.
When Krista reveals that she plans to give Leo another chance, Sebastian refuses to accept this and crosses the line by kissing her.
8. David’s loved ones face an emotional day
David’s family decide to volunteer at the Erinsborough Food Bank on the anniversary of his death, believing that this will be a fitting tribute to his generosity and kindness.
Paul initially stays away, shutting himself away at home as he blames himself for David’s death. However, with encouragement from Terese, he eventually agrees to join the others.
9. Vera finally moves out
Vera changes her mind over Eirini Rising, agreeing to consider moving into the retirement community after all. She’s pleased with what she sees when she takes a tour and ends up signing the contract.
Vera’s presence causes some early tensions with the other residents, but she embraces the drama even as she’s labelled a gossip and troublemaker.
