Former Bachelorette Clare Crawley recently opened up online about going through a hard time as her mom Lilia was not doing well.
Clare and her husband Ryan Dawkins had postponed their anniversary plans so they could help “guide [her] mother to be reunited with the love of HER life in her last moments.”
Now, Clare has taken to Instagram to share the heartbreaking news that her mother has passed away after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease and dementia.
She took to her Instagram Story and wrote, “Reading through all your messages has truly helped fill my heavy heart by the way. So many of you have been here along the way with us. And as prepared as I have been knowing we were on borrowed time with my mama’s dementia, my heart still stings like hell from losing her. Nothing can prepare you.”
Clare posted a photo of Ryan and their daughter Rowen on her Instagram Story as well and shared that they have been her support system through this difficult time.
She also posted a photo of her holding her mom, alongside a poem, and wrote, “My forever guardian angel 🪽”
Fellow Bachelor Nation alums filled the comments with their condolences for Clare and this immeasurable loss.
Sarah Herron wrote, “Clare, my heart breaks with you right now. Praying for peace for you and her family members 🫶🏻”
