Neighbours provides an update on scheming Sebastian Metcalfe next week following his recent exit from Erinsborough.
Sebastian gets in touch with his former friend Krista Sinclair, just two weeks after she sent him away.
Viewers saw Sebastian’s time on the show come to an end at the start of this month, as Krista realised that he’d been trying to sabotage her relationship with Leo Tanaka.
Krista saw Sebastian’s behaviour in a new light when he tried to kiss her. She ordered him to move back to Sydney and leave her alone.
Before Sebastian left, he caused one final bit of trouble as he lied about the nature of his connection to Krista in a conversation with her sister Fallon Morell. This left Fallon feeling uneasy over whether Krista is fully committed to Leo or not.
In next week’s episodes, Krista and Leo are the picture of happiness as they share a romantic Valentine’s Day dinner at Yorokobi.
Despite this, Fallon can’t help watching on with some scepticism – still convinced that Krista has romantic feelings for Sebastian.
The situation gets more complicated when Krista receives an unexpected apology letter from Sebastian.
Sebastian reveals that he has checked into a rehab facility in Sydney, using money that Krista gave to him.
Krista is relieved that Sebastian is finally getting the help he needs, but Fallon is more bothered by the fact that she didn’t get her own letter from him.
Krista asks Fallon not to tell Leo about the letter, aware that the Sebastian issue is a sore spot for him.
This is another red flag for Fallon, who confides in fellow newcomer Taye Obasi with her fears that Krista is confused over who she wants to be with.
Fallon starts to realise that it may not be a wise idea to share so much personal information with Taye, who’s a complete stranger.
Unfortunately, it’s already too late as Fallon suddenly realises that Taye has been hired at Lassiters’ piano bar – making Krista his boss. Has Fallon made a terrible mistake by using him as a sounding board?
