Neighbours airs a worrying storyline next week as Sadie Rodwell goes missing during a night out.
Sadie is targeted by criminals as Max Ramsay’s past comes back to haunt him in sinister scenes.
Viewers know that Max moved to Erinsborough to escape the heat after taking revenge against a man who’d drugged his best friend Kasey.
Max played vigilante by drugging the guy in question to teach him a lesson. He soon realised that he’d made a terrible mistake when the man was revealed to be the son of Carter Haddon, a dangerous gangster.
Next week, Max continues to fear for his life as he remains convinced that Carter is coming for him.
Max’s worry goes into overdrive following the recent incident where his drink was spiked at The Waterhole. This led to an unfortunate situation when Aaron Brennan drank from the glass and nearly drowned while under the influence of the drug.
After confiding in his cousin Roxy Willis, a nervous Max asks police sergeant Andrew Rodwell to help him get answers. Andrew promises to consult with a colleague in Queensland, who may be able to provide some much-needed clarity.
Later, Sadie and Holly Hoyland make plans for a night out at the Back Lane Bar.
Although Max wants to go, he decides to stay home so that he’s not painting a target on his friends’ backs.
Unfortunately, one of Carter’s henchmen is still watching Sadie and Holly very closely.
The mystery man wrongly assumes that Sadie is Max’s girlfriend, so decides to focus his attention on her.
Later, Sadie mysteriously disappears from the bar, leaving her phone and handbag behind.
Well aware of what’s at stake following her previous conversations with Max, Holly is left very concerned for her friend. What do Max’s enemies have in store for Sadie?
