Bachelor Nation first met Sarah Herron on Season 17 of “The Bachelor,” and she returned to our screens for Seasons 1 and 3 of “Bachelor in Paradise.”
Sarah found love off-screen with husband Dylan Brown and the two welcomed twin girls Evy and Coco last year.
Since then, Sarah has been keeping followers updated with their new lives as a family of four and learning how to parent twins with her limb difference.
Now, the Bachelor Nation star has taken to Instagram to share her birth story in honor of her twin girls turning 32 weeks old.
Alongside a series of photos, Sarah wrote, “32 weeks in, 32 weeks out! It’s hard to believe these little girls have been out in the world for as long as they were growing in my belly. 🥲😭. Those last 3 weeks of #twinpregnancy were physically brutal for me; debilitating carpal tunnel and swollen feet. Dislocated ribs and compressed Sacroiliac joints. I was in so much pain I couldn’t turn over in bed, or pull myself up from laying to sitting to go to the bathroom. I was going to therapists for body work 3x a week just to alleviate my discomfort…AND, I would do it all over again.”
Sarah then revealed that she expected to go full term in her pregnancy, but the twins were born only a couple days after her last doctor’s appointment.
“The crazy thing is that I had an OB appointment on a Friday and the girls were born Sunday night,” she said. “You’ll see in the video my Dr thought I’d go full-term based on my vitals. My blood pressure and urine protein was perfect, babies were moving with strong heartbeats on the monitor—I was just uncomfortable. The only thing my Dr didn’t check was my cervix. It’s very possible I could have been dilated already and we had no idea.”
Sarah continued and shared that she thought she had food poisoning that Sunday morning before going into labor.
She revealed, “Sunday morning I woke up with what I thought was food poisoning, and Dylan was flying home from a trip. I called nurses triage 3x that day reporting my symptoms and everyone just told me to stay hydrated and stay home. Contractions started at 5p, and after some intense vomiting, at 11pm my water broke. 2 hours later the most magical 4lb. humans entered our world via c-section! We’ll never know if the vomiting from food poisoning induced labor, or if the vomiting and diarrhea were signs of labor. 🤷🏼♀️ We spent 4 weeks in NICU, and everyone is healthy!”
We always love hearing from Sarah and we’re so glad she and the twins are healthy. We’re continuing to wish her family all the best, and happy 32 weeks to Evy and Coco!
