‘Bachelor’s Kelsey Anderson Spills 1st Details of Joey Graziadei Wedding & What NOT to Expect
Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson admittedly haven’t done much wedding planning yet, but they’re finally at the stage where they’re starting to think about putting their big day together. Anderson spoke to Serena Pitt and Joe Amabile on the Bachelor Happy Hour podcast to give a new update about her vision.
While The Bachelor alum said she “feels like [she] needs a wedding planner” to “narrow down all the little details,” there were some things that she already has her mind made up on.
“The only thing that Joey and I have both said is we want it to just be a big party,” the Louisiana native spilled. “After we say our vows, we want to have a big celebration. We want everyone on the dance floor. So we gotta find the perfect band, perfect DJ, whatever we choose.”
Anderson said she’s “pretty open” to most ideas, but there’s one thing that she knows she doesn’t want. “I don’t think I want it to be super traditional,” she shared. “I want it to kind of just form to how we feel is right for us.”
She also has a plan to make sure her late mother is part of the occasion. When Pitt pointed out that a new trend seems to be women repurposing their mother’s wedding dresses to wear themselves, Anderson explained, “My mom actually ended up not wearing the wedding dress she had, but I think maybe I would take a piece of some type of clothing of hers that meant a lot to me and somehow incorporate it into something in our wedding, for sure. I’d definitely want a piece of my mom in our wedding.”
Because she’s a “sentimental person,” she said she’s already started coming up with ideas to incorporate other loved ones who have died into the wedding, too. “I’m trying to think of ways we can still honor them because they were big people in our lives,” she added.
The bride-to-be and her future husband are not in any rush to walk down the aisle. In fact, Anderson hinted that the wait could be even longer than expected. “My sister actually just got engaged this past Christmas, so I’m trying to push her to get married first so I can scope out what she’s doing and what I like of it,” she teased.
Anderson and Graziadei met in the fall of 2023 while filming The Bachelor. After keeping their engagement under wraps for about five months, they finally went public with their romance at the show’s finale in March 2024. Since then, they’ve relocated to Los Angeles together.
