Drama is set to reach a boiling point in Hollyoaks as Ste Hay (Kieron Richardson) and Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) come face-to-face when long-hidden truths begin to surface.
The latest twist in the Hollyoaks saga sees Freddie Roscoe (Charlie Clapham) making a dramatic return to the village with one goal—taking down Grace Black (Tamara Wall) for framing Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) for Abe Fielding’s (Tyler Conti) m.u.r.d.e.r. However, while his mission is to expose Grace, he unknowingly stumbles upon another sinister truth—one that could put his own life in danger.
Freddie’s Risky Move Unleashes Chaos
In an attempt to gather evidence against Grace, Freddie enlists his daughter Lexi’s help. She fakes a dizzy spell, distracting Grace and luring her to the hospital, giving Freddie the perfect opportunity to break into her apartment. His search proves fruitful when he stumbles upon a box containing two mobile phones—one of which starts ringing just as he picks it up. However, before he can dig deeper, he is forced to flee when Grace unexpectedly returns.
Later, in a desperate bid for answers, Freddie dials the number again. To his shock, it’s Ste who answers Rex’s phone. Confused yet suspicious, Ste accuses Freddie of working with Grace, but Freddie fires back with a chilling warning:
“I know you’ve been helping Grace. I’m gonna find you, and I’m gonna make you talk. You’re a d.e.a.d man walking.”
Ste’s World Comes Crashing Down
While Freddie believes Rex is complicit in Abe’s m.u.r.d.e.r, the reality is much more complex. Though Rex wasn’t involved in the k.i.l.l.i.n.g, he has been deeply entangled in another horrifying scheme—running a criminal gang alongside Grace. The two have been exploiting vulnerable teenagers, Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) and Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith), forcing them into the dangerous world of drug dealing.
As Ste processes what he has just learned, the pieces of the puzzle start to fall into place. His instincts tell him that something is seriously wrong with Rex, and for the first time, he begins to question his partner’s true nature.
