Shocking news: Hollyoaks Star rushes baby son to hospital as he stops breathing

Hollyoaks actress Stephanie Davis has taken to social media to let fans know that her two-month-old son Samuel has been rushed to hospital after he stopped breathing

Actress Stephanie Davis has taken her newborn son to hospital.

The Hollyoaks star was left in terror as her two-month-old baby Samuel was whisked off to hospital after he stopped breathing. The grateful mum took to social media, posting a snap of her holding her little one’s hand, and called the incident a ‘scary episode’.

She also shared a picture of the baby’s cot in their hospital quarters while she waited nearby. In her heartfelt post, Stephanie said: “I just want to say a massive thank you to Whiston hospital, the staff on the high dependency unit and the staff on the ward for looking after our baby boy and @bectommo_x for helping me take him to the hospital and keeping me as calm as she could after what’s been the scariest time of my life.”

“On Monday Samuel stopped breathing and had 3 scary episodes. I’ve felt totally helpless and powerless the past few days.”

“He’s endured 2 lumbar punctures which unfortunately didn’t work and had a bloody tap, a head scan, lung scan and I can’t count how many Canulas he’s had to have put in and out plus the rest.

“He’s had the full works and every antibiotic to make sure he’s ok,” reports the Mirror.

The star confessed it has been an “absolutely horrendous and traumatic time” and told fans about the torment of watching her baby suffer. Stephanie said she felt utterly ‘powerless’ amid the situation.

She wrote: “The whole time I have thought about those mums who have poorly babies in hospital for a long time and I honestly don’t know how you do it as I’m mentally and physically drained already my anxiety is through the roof think I’ve gone into autopilot now.”

“I’ve thought about Amy so much these past few days. I’m So grateful for the NHS and how utterly amazing and caring the staff have been the nurses and doctors are hero’s and angels. Now to be there for him these next few days and look forward to getting him home when we can.”

Her post was met with an outpouring of support as fans flocked to send their best. One touched fan typed: “Sending so much love Steph Joe and caben sending love and strength to Samuel I hope he gets better soon.”

Stephanie and her beau, Joe McKalroy, became proud parents to the little newcomer this January. She’s also mum to young Caben, eight, from a past relationship.
