Hollyoaks spoilers follow for Tuesday’s (April 8) episode that is now available to view on Channel 4 streaming. The episode in question will air on E4 on at 7pm.
Dillon Ray’s (Nathaniel Dass) life hangs in the balance after he was brutally beaten up by a thug at the request of DI Banks (Drew Cain).
The teen, as viewers know, has been targeted and groomed by Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) and Grace Black (Tamara Wall) as part of the child exploitation operation they’re running in the village.
Grace got the idea from Rex, who was previously working for operation leader and corrupt cop DI Banks.
Grace was formerly in cahoots with Banks but, after he kidnapped her son Curtis last week, the nightclub owner decided to make her presence felt, organising a party without his knowledge.
Dillon and Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith), who have both been groomed, were apprehensive about the prospect of attending another party, with the former opening up about how he felt in the wake of learning that Cooper had paid to have sex with him.
Despite their reservations, they both headed to The Loft. Dillon made it quite clear that he wasn’t in the mood when approached by a party-goer, who treated him like nothing more than a piece of ‘meat’.
Dillon reiterated that he wasn’t feeling well but the twisted attendee grew aggressive, putting his hands on Dillon, which prompted Frankie to intervene as she punched the sinister individual in the face.
Grace attempted to smooth over the situation as Dillon stormed out, emotional and upset.
But as he headed back to The Loft with a box of chips, he was attacked from behind and beaten in the alleyway – and left for dead.
DI Banks emerged from the shadows, evidently behind the assault.
The dodgy detective is clearly trying to send a message to Grace. But with Dillon already wanting out, just how will he react to the attack?
Can Grace convince him to keep shtum? Or is this the last straw? And will Grace back down as a result of Banks’ warning?
Or will this simply see her up the ante?
