Neighbours to reveal who killed Sebastian in jaw-dropping twist

Major Neighbours spoilers follow – only read if you want to know who confesses.
Neighbours teen JJ Varga-Murphy gets the shock of his life next week as he discovers who really killed Sebastian Metcalfe.
The local schoolboy is left with a terrible dilemma after stumbling across a damning piece of evidence, which points the finger at someone very close to him. But will he speak up or stay silent to protect them?
JJ’s troubles unfold as it becomes very clear that something is troubling his girlfriend Nell Rebecchi.
Nell hasn’t been her usual self since taking a break from Erinsborough to attend the funeral of her beloved grandfather Big Kev. Everyone assumes that grief is weighing Nell down, but there seems to be more to it.
“Nell breaks down in front of her stepmum Terese, telling her that she can’t bear being in Erinsborough anymore,” our Neighbours source shares.
“She asks to join her dad Toadie and little brother Hugo in the US so they can all be together.”
Later, JJ reaches breaking point over Nell seeming so cold and withdrawn around him since she returned. He grabs her tablet computer and discovers that she has been working on a damning drawing, which shows her pushing Sebastian near the Lassiters Lake.
Much to JJ’s horror, Nell isn’t just daydreaming with her creepy artwork – it’s a real-life depiction of the moment she killed Seb last month.
“Nell tells JJ that Sebastian grabbed her near the lake, thinking that she was Fallon,” our insider adds.
“Poor Nell was terrified by Sebastian’s erratic behaviour, so she pushed him off and rushed away. As she left town the next day to visit her family in Colac, she had no idea that Sebastian had died until she returned home a few days later.”
The tormented teen tells JJ that she now feels terrible for Leo Tanaka, who was recently arrested and charged over Sebastian’s death.
JJ agrees that it’s a tough situation, but he then finds out that Leo’s legal team believe he has a strong chance of getting off. The no-nonsense lawyers hope to prove that Sebastian’s death was an accident.
Optimistic JJ reckons Nell should simply stay quiet and hope for the best where Leo is concerned, but is this leap of faith going to end in tears?
Either way, everyone’s lives look set to get a whole lot worse as Sebastian’s dad Stan arrives in town to seek answers over his son’s watery demise…
Neighbours airs these scenes on Tuesday, April 15 and Wednesday, April 16.
