Hollyoaks’ Star quits fame and retrains in very different job after brutal axing
HOLLYOAKS legend Steph Waring has revealed she’s retrained in a ‘normal job’ after being brutally axed from the soap after 28 years.
Steph, 47, played original Hollyoaks character Cindy Cunningham from 1996 until she was part of a mass cast cull last year.

The actress has revealed she’s wasted no time in getting back to work and has retrained as a life coach.
But Steph also confessed her new work will never “come close to her passion of being an actor”.
Speaking on social media, she said: “Someone asked me a question yesterday and it was ‘what work do you do?’ And I thought, good point.
“What work do I do? And the first thing that came to my head was I’m an actor. That’s all I’ve known for the last 30 years.
“It’s really hard out there, it’s not easy
“And that’s one of the reasons why I stayed in Hollyoaks for so long, because it was security and I was doing what I loved every single day. And I didn’t even question it.”
Addressing her new choice of career, Steph continued: “I do have days where I’m sad and I miss it and I’ve realised that is what I do…
“I am 100% focused on [it], I’m passionate about [it], but it won’t ever come close to my passion of being an actor.”
Following the shock news she was being axed, Steph revealed she broke down and begged bosses to change their minds when she received the news.
Speaking exclusively to The Sun at the time, she said: “I was very distraught, I didn’t take it well – I was probably the most dramatic person they told.
“I just kept telling them ‘I’m an original character’.
“I was clutching at anything – telling them ‘but I was the first person to give birth on the show!’
“I could see the distress I was causing them because they were upset that I was so upset.”
