Hollyoaks reveals another sinister secret about DI Banks

preview for Hollyoaks Soap Scoop! Engagement party horror

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on E4 and stream on Channel 4.

Hollyoaks has revealed another sinister secret about DI Banks in the latest episode, while hinting at danger for Donny Clarke.

Viewers already know that the police boss is secretly in charge of a criminal group involved in drug dealing and human trafficking, and that he’s taking care of Dodger’s granddaughter Victoria.

In tonight’s episode, Donny confronts Banks about the photos he had taken the night before, seemingly showing him doing a dodgy deal. He noted the rise in crime in the village, files going missing and the lack of arrests, and stated that it feels like the crime group has someone on the inside on the force.

Banks didn’t take the accusation well, and emptied his bag to reveal toiletries.

“The person I was meeting with my wife, she was giving me a few essentials. I was giving her housekeeping money,” he raged.

He admitted that being secretly married while seeing Diane Hutchinson, and lying to both women, wasn’t something he was proud of, but insisted that “my misdemeanours end there”.

Donny isn’t convinced, as he later told Misbah Maalik that he still thinks Banks is corrupt. He also told her that they can’t tell Diane just yet as he needs more evidence to actually pin on him.

Meanwhile, Banks tells another colleague that they will need to keep a closer eye on Donny, as he could end up ruining their entire operation.
