Darren Osborne (Ashley Taylor Dawson) isn’t giving up on his marriage to Nancy (Jessica Fox) in Hollyoaks as he makes a last-ditch attempt to win back the affection of his one true love.
Nancy has come to believe that Darren cheated her with Kat Omari (Sonia Ibrahim) after Frankie (Isabelle Smith) found them in bed together at Weirside View.
Kat got into bed with Darren after he fell asleep following a night of drinking in a bid to make Frankie believe that her dad had cheated.
She did so on the orders of Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey), who wanted to isolate Frankie from her loved ones so that he and Grace Black (Tamara Wall) could groom her into a world of criminality.
Darren has professed his innocence time and again but Nancy and Frankie refuse to believe him. Nancy, in fact, called time on their relationship but – determined to support his family during their time of need – Darren has refused to move out of Basswood Road.
With Frankie, who is struggling with a drug addiction, having recently disappeared with Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass), the tension at the Osbornes is at an all-time high, with home life for all those who dwell there somewhat awkward.
Next week, Nancy tells Darren that she’s got a date, which leaves him absolutely reeling. In a bid to find out more, Darren scrolls the internet, hoping to uncover who Nancy is seeing.
Nancy, meanwhile, heads to The Hutch and confesses to Tony Hutchinson (Nick Pickard) that she will always love Darren. Darren, however, gets the wrong end of the stick when he sees them talking!
In the aftermath of this, he decides to make one last attempt to win back Nancy, putting his heart into a speech for his soulmate. The weight of their shared history hangs between them but will what Daz has said be enough to win Nancy back?
Were keeping tight-lipped on the outcome but what we can say is that the night takes an unexpected turn, with Darren in high spirits the following morning, much to the delight of Jack (Jimmy McKenna) and Pearl Anderson (Dawn Hope).
Darren dares to hope – but Nancy subsequently drops a bombshell.
Just what could it be? You’ll have to wait and see but let’s just say that Nancy is not pleased when she learns of Darren’s plans later in the week!
