Lucas has his heart broken by Dillon in tragic Hollyoaks goodbye twist

Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) is set to have his heart broken by former boyfriend Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) once again in Hollyoaks next week as a devastating message is issued.
The teen, as viewers know, was diagnosed with a brain tumour late last month and in the aftermath of his diagnosis, all he wanted was to see Dillon.
The former couple went their separate ways earlier this year after Dillon was groomed by Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) into a life of criminality and exploitation.
Rex’s control over Dillon increased, with Grace Black (Tamara Wall) – who is running with child exploitation operation with DI Banks (Drew Cain) – manipulating both he and Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith) into having sex with her party-goers for money.
With Frankie and Dillon wanting out of this life, Grace decided to tempt them both with the prospect of a holiday, moving the teens out of the village for a number of weeks, hence why Lucas was unable to seek comfort from Dillon upon his diagnosis.

Dillon, however, returns to the village in upcoming scenes and, in a bid to make sure his former flame’s dreams come true, he books Lucas a once in a lifetime holiday to Egypt.
Ste (Kieron Richardson) and Rex, however, are anxious upon learning of Lucas’ upcoming trip with Dillon and Frankie. Grace, meanwhile, informs Frankie that she’s secured her another chance with Ray, who cornered her at Weirside View a few weeks earlier.
Frankie subsequently meets with Ray but, before anything can happen, the man collapses. Frankie and Dillon are left reeling and Rex urges them to disappear for good for their own safety.

Ste begs Dillon to break Lucas’ heart and not take him away while Frankie is horrified when a brick smashes through the window of 17 Basswood Road, leaving Darren (Ashley Taylor Dawson) and Nancy (Jessica Fox) shaken.
Amid the commotion, Frankie quietly slips away.
Dillon, meanwhile, leaves a heartbreaking message for Lucas, who is devastated. Ste comes to his son’s aid, offering comfort, but it’s ultimately Myra McQueen (Nicole Barber-Lane) who provides him with some advice.
Is this the end for HayRay for good? Or is there still hope?
