Kelsey Anderson & Joey Graziadei Reveal Why Wedding Planning Is On Pause for Another Year: ‘family reasons’

Keeping things real and grounded, Bachelor Nation fan-favorites Kelsey Anderson and Joey Graziadei are opening up about their future wedding plans—and why they’re hitting the brakes, at least for now.
The beloved couple, who got engaged at the end of Season 28 of The Bachelor, have been living life to the fullest since their televised love story. From traveling the world to cozy moments at home, Kelsey and Joey have continued to share glimpses of their growing bond. But when it comes to walking down the aisle, they’re choosing to wait.
In a recent interview with SI Swimsuit, Kelsey revealed that while they originally considered a Spring 2026 wedding, they’ve now decided to push the big day to 2027—citing family reasons and a desire to keep things stress-free.
“We really don’t want to be stressed. We don’t want to just throw things together,” Kelsey explained. “I definitely want our wedding to be pretty timeless. I want it to be able, in 30 or 40 years, to look like it could be done then.”
And it’s not just Kelsey who’s involved in planning—Joey is all in too. “I want the wedding to be a part of both of us,” she said. “I know a lot of times the guys kind of let the lady take over, but I don’t know [about that with Joey]. He definitely has opinions.”
Joey echoed those sentiments during his appearance on Cozy in the Closet with Maks Chmerkovskiy and Peta Murgatroyd. “We didn’t want to rush anything because as you know, The Bachelor is a very, very quick timeline,” Joey shared. “We’re going to have a two- to three-year engagement to make sure we are seeing everything through and learning as much about each other before we take that next step.”
The couple’s transparency has only deepened fans’ admiration. Many have applauded their decision to slow down, especially in a world where whirlwind reality TV romances can fizzle fast.
While there’s no exact wedding date yet, it’s clear that Kelsey and Joey are building a solid foundation—one that puts love, communication, and family first.
And when the big day finally arrives? Bachelor Nation will be more than ready. Until then, we’re just enjoying every moment of their sweet and intentional engagement.
