Major Hollyoaks legend to return ahead of 30th anniversary

Ellis Hollins is set to reprise his Tom Cunningham role for Hollyoaks’ 30th anniversary later this year, it has been reported.
The actor, 25, appeared in the Channel 4 soap for over two decades before he was axed last year.
Tom, alongside half-sister Cindy (Stephanie Waring), made a quick escape after learning that her husband Dave Williams (Dominic Power) was actually fearsome gangster Blue.
In shocking scenes, he pulled a gun on the siblings, though they both managed to flee.
Desperate to depart before they found themselves in more danger, Cindy and Tom decided to stay with older sister Jude in Spain, taking their children Hilton and Steph with them
To the tune of Spice Girls’ Goodbye, the pair drove out of Hollyoaks village in a bright red 1995 Vauxhall Corsa, strikingly similar to the same model of car that their driving instructor dad Mr C drove back in the day.

Now, he’s set to make a spectacular comeback – and will come face to face with twisted Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix), who emotionally manipulated him as a child.
This was all in an attempt to get her hands on the fortune of Tom’s guardian, his older brother Max (Matt Littler).
She even faked the youngster’s death, convincing Max to jump into a frozen lake to ‘save’ him.
It was reported last month that – despite the character being dead – Clare was returning to the infamous Chester village.
A source told The Sun: ‘Tom is a huge fan favourite and was a major part of Clare’s first years in Hollyoaks – but now he’s not a little boy anymore.
‘Clare might have had the upper hand before but not anymore.
‘It was a no brainer to revisit the battle and have a rematch. Bosses are really excited to have Gemma and Ellis back.
‘Ellis’ stint will be part of the run up to the big 30th anniversary in October and there are huge plans underway for it.’
