Hollyoaks viewers believe they’ve figured out who is truly responsible for Tommy Odenkirk’s demise.
His shocking death was confirmed in the episode of the Channel 4 soap that aired on Wednesday (May 21), which can now be streamed online.
After being led back into drug use by Jez Blake (Jeremy Sheffield), Joel Dexter (Rory Douglas-Speed) learned from Leela Dexter (Kirsty-Leigh Porter) that Tommy had lied about his brother Billy Odenkirk’s death, who was actually still alive.
Joel confronted Tommy at the flat over this revelation and a violent altercation ensued with the fraudulent therapist.
The next morning, Joel woke up disoriented, unsure of the previous night’s events, but upon discovering Tommy’s body, he realised that Tommy was dead, reports the Mirror.

He contacted Jez, who arrived and found out that he had killed Tommy. Secretly relieved that his secrets would die with Tommy, Jez urged Joel to conceal the murder.
However, Joel received a visit from Marie Fielding (Rita Simons) and Leela, who decided to check on him after his relapse.
He initially attempted to hide what he’d done, but his mother and wife soon discovered Tommy. They deduced that Joel intended to dispose of the body, as Tommy was wrapped in a rug.

Marie supported this cover-up, fearing the loss of another son. But Leela insisted that Joel should confess and contact the police, and despite facing a heartbreaking predicament, he ultimately decided to turn himself in.
As police took Joel away for Tommy’s murder, Marie dropped a bombshell at The Hutch, leaving Cleo stunned and Jez on edge.
Viewers now suspect that Jez, a serial killer, was the one who actually killed Tommy and set Joel up to take the fall. One fan speculated: “do u think Jez killed Tommy coz Joel punched him then cant remember anything else.”
