1. Darren and Nancy get answers
Having realised that Frankie is in danger, Darren and Nancy plead with Rex to give them some information. The struggling couple receive a text which reveals her location, but they make a mistake and accidentally trust the wrong police officer with their new intel.
This sets the wheels in motion for a speedy clear out of the illegal operation.
2. Diane investigates
As Donny, Dodger and Rex come together to brainstorm how to rescue the hostages, DI Banks gets busy destroying evidence and getting rid of workers – with the aim to escape with his wife and Victoria that afternoon.
But he doesn’t realise that Diane, whose suspicions continue to grow, follows Alistair to the manor house.

3. Darren and Frankie reunite
Darren takes the lead and arrives at Fernmere house with the help of Kat, and he is taken to a hidden room upstairs. He finds his daughter, and he quickly realises the horrific ordeal she has been subjected to.
Darren comes to Frankie’s aid and promises to get her out of this situation, but it appears that this will be easier said than done.
4. Grace make plans
While DI Banks plots his exit, Grace is also on a mission to remove any evidence that she was involved in the exploitation scheme and to get Alistair’s associates to take over the operation.
She manages to get Rex to tag along, though he is reluctant and is secretly working against her.
5. The group face serious danger
Dillon, Vicky and Robbie explore the basement as they search for an escape, and they bump into Darren and Frankie along the way. But their emotional reunion is interrupted by the arrival of DI Banks’ cronies. A fight breaks out between the two sides, and Darren and Robbie step up to attack the enemies. Things go wrong though, and Darren’s fate remains up in the air.
With Frankie, Dillon, Darren and Robbie at the mercy of the dangerous gang, will everyone get out of the mansion alive?
6. Lucas’ surgery goes wrong
Lucas suffers a worrying setback when he has another seizure in hospital but is told that the procedure to remove his brain tumour will still take place that day. While Ste and Leela wait for news about Lucas, Nancy confronts Ste and demands answers about Rex.
Ste gets a heartbreaking update about his son when he is told that Lucas had an unexpected bleed on the brain during the surgery. Will Lucas survive the operation?
7. Mercedes hits a milestone
There is cause for celebration for Mercedes next week when she finishes her final round of chemotherapy treatment.
In emotional scenes, she rings the bell with partner Freddie by her side and receives a round of applause when she leaves the hospital for the last time. Is Mercedes at the end of her cancer ordeal?
8. Rex tells the truth
Rex becomes overwhelmed with the events taking place and breaks down in front Grace. He tells his sister that what she is doing is wrong and that she is continuing a cycle of abuse, in the hope that she will have a change of heart.
Later, he finally decides to tell Ste the truth about his involvement with the exploitation gang. As Rex comes clean, he begs for his partner’s forgiveness, but how will Ste take this devastating news?
