1. Paul fears losing Thomas
Paul is shellshocked following Jeffrey’s decision to expose the truth to Terese. He fears it’s inevitable that he’ll now have to give up his access to Thomas, which is the last thing he’d wanted.
The only upside for Paul is that Terese is unaware that he already knew the truth, as Jeffrey hasn’t shared this crucial detail. When Paul holds Thomas, he fears that it may be for the last time.
2. Chelsea decides to flee
Chelsea becomes public enemy number one again, as she faces the music for hiding the truth for so long. Cara gives her a hard time, while Krista also drops her recent truce with Chelsea by sharing some harsh words.
When everyone’s judgement becomes too much, Chelsea abandons Thomas at the Lassiters penthouse – leaving a note behind which asks Paul to take care of him.
3. Paul and Cara clash over Thomas
When Cara finds out that Chelsea has left town, she insists on taking Thomas back to the Varga-Murphy house. Paul protests that this isn’t what Chelsea wanted.
Cara agrees not to disturb Thomas for the evening, but adds that she wants Paul to hand him over the next day. However, when the following morning arrives, Paul still refuses to give Thomas up.
Leo fears that Paul is playing a dangerous game, as he doesn’t have any legal rights to Thomas following the revelation that he isn’t the baby’s father. Paul decides to tread more carefully where Cara is concerned, but will it be enough?
4. Chelsea reappears
A few days after Chelsea’s departure, Cara confides in Remi about how she’d like to adopt Thomas. However, she’s wrong-footed when Chelsea returns to town, admitting that she couldn’t be without her son after all.
Cara struggles with the idea of letting Thomas go. Paul feels similarly torn and tries to help out Chelsea by offering her a room at Lassiters. He also begs Chelsea not to tell Terese how long he knew the truth for.
5. Terese finally loses patience with Paul
Krista finds out that Chelsea is staying at Lassiters following Paul’s latest intervention.
When Krista warns Terese, it’s the final straw and she decides to move out of the penthouse. Paul is dismayed as Terese insists on moving back to Ramsay Street with Nell.
6. Taye has another close call
When Taye accepts another escorting job, he crosses a line by mixing both of his jobs. He visits the client while on shift at the Piano Bar, as the lady in question is staying at Lassiters.
The stress and pressure become too much for Taye, leaving him unable to perform. Max is forced to cover for Taye when a baffled Krista spots him fleeing from the Lassiters hotel room.
7. Amanda’s memorial takes place
A sombre day arrives in Erinsborough as the residents pay their last respects to Amanda at her memorial service.
Jane gives an honest speech at the event, acknowledging the difficult moments she faced with her mother as well as the happy times.
8. There’s a shock in Amanda’s will
After the memorial, Amanda’s family gather to hear the contents of her will.
It’s confirmed that her estate will be liquidated and transformed into a scholarship fund, to help students who are pursuing careers in fashion and beauty.
Amanda’s recent friendship with Sadie holds strong, as Sadie has been appointed as the scholarship’s official administrator.
9. Sadie and Byron break up
While Jane accepts Amanda’s last wishes, Byron and Nicolette are unhappy over the scholarship. This leads to tensions between Byron and Sadie, who feels that her boyfriend is talking down to her.
The final straw for Sadie comes when she learns that Byron and Nicolette are planning to contest the will. Sadie decides to break up with Byron, leaving him devastated.
10. Karl causes trouble for Darcy
Karl keeps up the pretence that he’s made peace with Darcy, but secretly digs up dirt by contacting his enemy’s former business partner, Dr Anthony Halsworth.
The call brings Dr Halsworth up to speed over Darcy’s plans to open his own medical centre. He arrives in town and demands a 50% stake in it, wanting compensation as Darcy previously ruined his career.
11. Wendy goes behind Andrew’s back again
Wendy conducts some secret research into Andrew’s birth parents, despite his reluctance to search for answers over his biological family.
Later, Wendy confides in Jane about how she’s found three families who Andrew could be related to – with one lead looking particularly promising. She’s ready to reach out to find out more, but Jane advises caution since Andrew has so much else going on.
