Charity Lawson Opens Up About What Dotun Olubeko Does That Annoys Her in Daily Life

Keeping it real in love!
The Bachelorette alum Charity Lawson recently opened up in a lighthearted interview about life after the show with fiancé Dotun Olubeko — and let’s just say, it’s not always roses and candlelit dinners.
In a candid chat with Bachelor Nation Weekly, Charity got real about the little things that come with living together — including the quirky habits Dotun has that sometimes drive her up the wall.
“Dotun is amazing, but like any couple, we have our everyday moments,” she laughed. “For instance, he leaves cabinets open in the kitchen. Every. Single. Time. I’ll walk in and it looks like we’ve been robbed.”
Charity added that while it may seem like a small thing, it’s a constant reminder that perfection doesn’t exist, even in the most seemingly fairytale romances. “It’s a minor annoyance, but it’s also kind of endearing,” she said. “It’s like — that’s my guy, chaos and all.”
Dotun, for his part, has also joked in previous interviews about how Charity takes “forever” to get ready — even if they’re just heading to the grocery store. “We balance each other out,” he told Us Weekly. “She’s the planner, I’m the spontaneous one. She’s the fastidious one, I’m the tornado.”
Despite their funny little grievances, the couple emphasized that communication has been the key to making their relationship thrive after the cameras stopped rolling.
Since getting engaged during The Bachelorette Season 20 finale, Charity and Dotun have been inseparable — sharing glimpses of their travels, date nights, and family time on social media. And while they’re still enjoying their engagement phase, wedding planning has been lightly discussed.
“Right now we’re just soaking it all in,” Charity shared. “We want to enjoy being together without rushing to the next big thing.”
Fans have responded warmly to their transparency, with many calling them “refreshingly real” and “goals” for how they handle the ups and downs of post-show life.
Whether it’s open cabinets or long glam sessions, Charity and Dotun are proof that love is all about accepting — and even laughing at — the little things.
And we’re definitely here for it.
