Sadie and Byron agree that she’ll split the trustee role and money with Byron, but keep some for the scholarship. Darcy is furious when he finds out, branding Sadie a “stupid girl” for not standing her ground.
Paul meets up with Tess and they figure out that Darcy is trying to cover his tracks after doing something terrible. They fear that he could have been responsible for Karl’s suspected stroke. When Darcy learns that Karl is showing signs of improvement, he books a flight out of Erinsborough.
At the hospital, Remi confirms that no opioids were found in Karl’s system, despite Darcy finding drugs in his bag. Paul convinces Susan to get Karl tested for other drugs which could cause stroke symptoms.
Later, Karl wakes from his coma and finds Darcy injecting a stronger dose of drugs into his drip, desperate to buy himself some time before he leaves.
Elsewhere, when Lydia starts to play games where Cara is concerned, Taye agrees to her terms.
