Anna Passey reveals why Sienna is heartbroken in Hollyoaks baby twist

Hollyoaks spoilers follow.
As parents-to-be Cleo McQueen and Sienna Blake prepare for Cleo’s first baby scan on Hollyoaks next week, their tender moment is ruined when meddling Marie Fielding anonymously orders flowers from Sienna’s stall, leaving her unable to attend her girlfriend’s appointment.
Suspecting Marie of foul play, Sienna confronts her and airs her concerns to Cleo. Could Marie be about to drive a wedge between the happy couple, just as they’ve got back together?
Hollyoaks actor Anna Passey sits down with us at Inside Soap to talk us through exactly what her character Sienna is feeling amidst all the drama…
Hi Anna! How is Sienna feeling about becoming a parent again?
“She’s really excited – we know Sienna, she loves a baby! It’s a beautiful opportunity for the two of them to grow in their relationship – because Sienna has done it already and this is Cleo’s first baby, she’s excited to be able to support her.”
How does Sienna feel when she misses the scan?
“It’s the first opportunity to show some support, and she really wanted to be there. She’s not as much disappointed for herself, but more that she couldn’t be there to support Cleo.”
Does she feel a bit left out?
“It’s a tricky situation. Cleo and Joel were so iconic and even though that’s done, there’s always going to be that insecurity when it comes to Joel for Sienna.”
“She’s too long in the tooth now to suffer people like Marie. She doesn’t beat around the bush – she tells her to keep her nose out and that she’s not wanted, and she’s got to chill out a bit and leave Cleo to it.”
When she accuses Marie of ordering the flowers, does she worry Cleo will think she’s paranoid?
“What’s so frustrating for Sienna is that the connection she has with Cleo is very simple, it’s only everyone else that’s complicating things. It was Jez and Martha’s meddling that made Sienna paranoid about Cleo having something to do with the drugging, and now we’ve got Marie poking her nose in. For once, I can use the words ‘poor Sienna’!”
