Kaity Biggar breaks her silence, reveals what bothered her at her wedding with Zach Shallcross: ‘The fire in me was burning…’

Bachelor Nation favorite Kaity Biggar has finally opened up about a moment from her wedding day that didn’t sit right with her — and fans are stunned by her honesty.

Kaity and Zach Shallcross, who got engaged during the finale of The Bachelor Season 27, tied the knot earlier this year in a romantic, intimate ceremony surrounded by family, friends, and fellow Bachelor alums. The wedding, which was praised for its simplicity and heartfelt atmosphere, seemed like a fairytale — at least from the outside.

But in a candid new interview and a revealing Instagram story shared this week, Kaity admitted that there was a part of the big day that sparked deep frustration within her.

“It was supposed to be the happiest day of my life,” Kaity wrote. “But something just didn’t feel right… The fire in me was burning, and not in a good way.”

According to Kaity, one of the main issues was the constant pressure to perform for cameras and social media. Though the couple had initially agreed to keep their ceremony relatively private, she claimed that certain guests and even vendors prioritized capturing content over respecting their moment.

“It felt like everyone had their phones up. I looked around during our vows and saw flashes instead of faces,” she explained. “I love our fans, but that moment was meant for us.”

Kaity’s confession struck a chord with many brides and Bachelor Nation supporters alike. Within hours, the post had gone viral, and fellow Bachelor alum Michelle Young commented:

“I feel this so deeply. Thank you for speaking your truth, Kaity.”

Despite the momentary frustration, Kaity emphasized that the wedding was still filled with love and unforgettable memories — and that she and Zach are stronger than ever.

“Zach held my hand through it all,” she wrote. “After the ceremony, we escaped for 10 minutes alone, no phones, no cameras. That’s when I truly felt married.”

Zach also posted a supportive message for his wife, writing:

“You were stunning. And even in the chaos, I’d marry you 1,000 times over.”

The couple is currently enjoying their honeymoon in Tuscany, Italy, and plan to unplug from the spotlight for a while.

Kaity’s honesty serves as a powerful reminder that even the most picture-perfect moments can come with challenges — and that love, not likes, is what truly matters.
