Sad News: Hollyoaks Unexpectedly Cancels Fan-Favourite Event – The Reason Sparks Outrage Among Viewers

Hollyoaks has axed its 30th anniversary tour, resulting in a sad setback for fans of the series.
The Channel 4 soap was set to head out on the road in October to celebrate the special milestone, with five stars from past and present announced to be taking part in the live shows.
The tour promised to feature behind-the-scenes secrets, unseen footage, question and answers, and even some musical performances. That promise, however, won’t be fulfilled, as the tour has officially been cancelled.
A statement issued by Maple Tree Entertainment, the company that was handling the tour, to Digital Spy reads: “Due to unforeseen circumstances, the planned theatre events for Hollyoaks: The 30th Anniversary Tour will no longer be taking place.
“We are truly sorry to disappoint those who purchased tickets. Refunds will be issued directly by the venues.”
However, the soap will still be celebrating its anniversary in other ways, with events set for October to be announced in due course.
Things that have already been confirmed include a competition for a fan to visit the set and actually feature in the series as a murder victim of Jez Blake, with the move being a first in soap history.
There’s also the return of post-watershed spin-off Hollyoaks Later, and we’ve rounded up five spoilers teasing what you can expect, including which characters will feature.
Meanwhile, Clare Devine actor Gemma Bissix recently told us exclusively about how her character will be involved in the anniversary episodes on screen.
“I have had a meeting with [executive producer] Hannah [Cheers] and I’ve got a big, big storyline within the 30th celebrations.
“I’m really excited. I do think there will be some stunt work involved – I can’t say what! But it is positively evil.”
