Hollyoaks Star Announces Pregnancy at 45: ‘BABY, BABY, BABY on the Way!’
Roxanne McKee has announced she is pregnant with her first child
A Hollyoaks star has taken to social media to announce she is expecting her first child.
Roxanne McKee shared a heartwarming photograph on Instagram showing herself cradling her growing baby bump.
The black-and-white snapshot featured the 45 year old actress, who portrayed Louise Summers on the Channel 4 soap from 2005 to 2008, sporting Calvin Klein underwear whilst posing for the mirror selfie in a bathroom.
A second image in the carousel captured her giving her partner a kiss on the cheek.
The third photograph depicted her holding hands with her boyfriend as he snapped a picture of the couple in a window, with Roxanne’s baby bump visible beneath a white hoodie, reports the Mirror.
She wrote alongside her post: “Joint project,” accompanied by a red love heart emoji.
Her delighted fans were swift to share their congratulations in the comments.
Katy Sloane commented: “Congratulations Roxy! ! ! What wonderful news! ! ! You are an absolute Goddess! ! !”.
Actress Joanna Harlin also responded: “Congratulations,” whilst adding four love heart emojis.
Hollyoaks star Anthony Quinny posted: ‘Amazing news! Congratulations!,” whilst Max Beesley was amongst those who liked the announcement.
On the Cheshire-based soap, Roxanne’s character met a brutal end in 2008.
In shocking scenes, she was strangled by her fiancé Warren Fox, portrayed by Jamie Lomas.The murder took place on their wedding day after she had discovered her partner had killed her estranged husband Sean Kennedy.
At the time of her departure, Roxanne told Digital Spy: “I have enjoyed my time at Hollyoaks immensely and I’m going to really miss everyone at Lime Pictures. I have learned so much and will take away with me many happy memories – not just from everyone I have worked with but from Liverpool as a city too, which has become my second home.
“I know I will shed a few tears on the day I leave but I am so excited about what the future holds.
She continued to achieve further success on television.
After leaving Hollyoaks, Roxanne secured parts in programmes including Lip Service, HBO’s fantasy epic Game of Thrones, and Syfy’s apocalyptic supernatural drama Dominion.
Her film career includes productions such as Wrong Turn 5: Bloodlines, Vendetta, and The Legend of Hercules.
Through her social media accounts, Roxanne frequently posts professional updates whilst also offering followers a glimpse into her private life.
Last year she posted footage of herself on a Norwegian adventure.Posting several videos on Instagram, Roxanne documented her thrilling getaway, which featured skiing and snowmobile rides.
