HOLLYOAKS has aired a horror shooting as part of the soap’s Christmas Day drama.
All six of Hollyoaks’ Christmas and New Year episodes are available to watch on Channel 4’s streaming service.
The dramatic scenes began as Grace (Tamara Wall) and Freddie (Charlie Clapham) attended the village’s Christmas carols.
During the event, Grace noticed an unseen person was pointing a sniper at Freddie.
She stepped in front of her husband and, in a dramatic twist, wound up being shot.

Freddie and Grace tied the knot earlier this year.
However, recent scenes have seen Freddie grow closer to Mercedes McQueen (Jennifer Metcalfe) – who has been battling bowel cancer in a hard-hitting storyline.
An already suspicious Grace picked up a voicemail left by Mercedes and deleted it.
Freddie snuck off to see Mercedes while he and Grace attended Misbah and Donny’s Christmas party.
