1. Yaz finally discovers the truth about Heath
As the Lights Up event finally gets under way, podcaster Blaze approaches Yaz and encourages her to listen to the latest episode of Crimesborough. The new update contains witness statements from Mackenzie, Haz, Toadie and Melanie over what really happened in the Outback last year.
When Yaz listens to the full story, she finally realises that Heath was the villain of the piece rather than Holly. She instantly has second thoughts over her evil plan to endanger Holly’s life with faulty equipment at the light show, but it may already be too late.
2. Max is caught in the crossfire
Yaz rushes back to the event in the hope of rescuing Holly, unaware that Max has stepped in carry out Holly’s duties at the last minute. Max suffers nasty burns to his hands and is knocked unconscious as he receives a huge electric shock.
As the residents scramble for an explanation, pictures of Yaz and Heath are put on display as part of the Lost Loves theme. It’s clear that they were related and Yaz has been playing everyone for fools.
3. Yaz prepares to make her escape
Yaz rushes to the airport rather than face the consequences of her actions. Nicolette follows Yaz and encourages her to share the full story of what she’s been up to.
Nicolette takes pity on Yaz when she learns that grief pushed her to some extreme actions. She encourages Yaz to get on the plane and leave the country before the police arrive, but will Yaz take this advice or stick around to be arrested?
4. Holly discovers the full story
Holly investigates Yaz’s actions further and discovers that she approached Tess as part of her revenge plan. She also finds out about how Yaz was to blame for her hearing Heath’s voice one night at the Kennedy house.
Holly struggles with the realisation that yet another person has come into her life wanting to cause her harm. Max comforts her and insists that she doesn’t deserve it, but will life for Holly ever be the same again?
5. Sebastian’s manipulation continues
Sebastian asks Krista if they can spend the day together, but she prioritises a picnic with Leo and Abigail. Persistent Sebastian looks for other opportunities to get closer to Krista, but she’s determined to focus on her relationship for a while.
Turning desperate, Sebastian deliberately hurts his injured shoulder and sends a frantic message to Krista asking for her help.
6. Leo resorts to blackmail
Leo gets frustrated when Sebastian’s latest ‘accident’ pushes Krista closer to her best friend again. As Krista refocuses her efforts back onto Sebastian and his recovery, Leo feels left out in the cold.
Later, Leo discovers that Nicolette received a parking fine from the airport on the day that Yaz decided to flee. He uses this to his advantage, threatening to expose her secret unless she sacks Sebastian from the café.
7. Nicolette gives Leo her answer
Nicolette fears a backlash for her decision to help Yaz, so she complies with Leo’s demand and fires Sebastian from Harold’s. Sebastian is unhappy when he figures out that Leo may have been responsible for this.
Leo may have made an enemy as Sebastian spots various clues to his deceit, especially when Leo encourages him to move on with his life elsewhere. However, Leo soon has other issues on his mind as the anniversary of David’s death approaches.
8. Jane’s new man is revealed
Jane connects with a guy called Clint on a dating app. As the app focuses strictly on personality and conversation, she doesn’t see his photo as they bond over shared interests in books, music and puzzles.
When the time comes for Jane and Clint to meet, she finally discovers that he’s much younger than her. This isn’t an issue for Clint, who reveals that he likes the company of older women, but Jane insists that it’s not the right move for her.
9. Byron’s blunder pushes Jane towards Clint
Clint refuses to let Jane go so easily and he contacts her about a potential second date. Byron is highly sceptical when he finds out, openly questioning why a younger guy would be so interested in Jane.
Jane is highly offended by the insinuation that Clint must have an ulterior motive for wanting to spend time with her. Wanting to prove her son wrong, she gets back to Clint and arranges a second date.
10. Byron makes the wrong move to support Sadie
Byron goes overboard with his attempts to prove that he supports Sadie’s new piercing. He announces plans to get his own piercing done, much to the surprise of Sadie and Andrew.
When Byron has second thoughts at the last minute, Sadie urges him not to feel pressured to do crazy things just to please her.
11. Vera receives pressure over Eirini Rising
Sadie arranges for Gino to give Vera a pampering session, hoping that he can take the opportunity to persuade her to move into Eirini Rising.
Vera seems interested when Gino speaks positively about the retirement complex and its many benefits, but Byron then weighs in and goes completely overboard with his attempts to talk it up.
Feeling offended by her housemates’ obvious desire to get rid of her, Vera refuses to make the move.
12. An intruder lurks at the Varga-Murphy house
JJ and Dex are due to return home from New York, with Remi and Cara staying abroad for a little bit longer. Andrew helps out by restocking the fridge and cupboards before the boys arrive back.
Andrew is baffled when he starts hearing noises around the Varga-Murphy house. Sadie claims that he’s imagining it, but there really is someone sneaking around the house and hoping to keep their presence hidden. Can Andrew catch them in the act?
13. Aaron makes a heartbreaking decision
As the first anniversary of David’s death gets closer, Aaron feels uneasy over moving on with his new love interest Rhett. He confides in Jane about how being sad makes him feel closer to David – and that it still doesn’t feel like the right time to let this go.
Jane advises a cautious approach but Aaron acts quickly, telling Rhett that he’s not ready for another relationship so they’ll have to end things.
