But unfortunately, she lost her mom in 2018, after being diagnosed with breast cancer that metastasized to her bones. About ten years ago, she got diagnosed with breast cancer and it metastasized on her bones. They gave her six months. After that, it was just very aggressive and after, I think, about two months, she passed away. 

Admitting how hard it was for her to appear on The Bachelor knowing that her mom wouldn’t be there at her wedding, Anderson claimed to feel connected with her mom through butterflies. Admitting to feel her mom’s presence whenever she sees butterflies, the 26-year-old later opened up about getting closer with her dad after her mom’s death.

While the reality TV star previously shared her heartbreaking realization about the fact that she would miss her mom during her wedding, Anderson recently shared a TikTok about what felt like a special sign from her mother. During her photo shoot for the Spring 2025 Bridal and Bridesmaids campaign under David’s Bridal, the 26-year-old claimed to see a ray of light that looked like a butterfly.

And I know that I posted a video like this before and everyone was like, ‘It’s a sun glare’… I don’t care what it’s called. I think that it’s my mom. I feel like she was watching over me and it literally looks like a butterfly. 

Sharing the new video via her social media, from behind the scenes of the shoots, Anderson pointed at a huge ray of light shining above her. Asking her fans if they could see what seemed like a massive butterfly, the reality TV star started getting emotional over the feeling of being watched over by her mom.

Although it’s been months, since Joey Graziadei and Kelsey Anderson got engaged on The Bachelor Season 28 finale, the duo are yet to set a wedding date. But that didn’t stop the couple from planning their honeymoon trip and destination. According to Graziadei’s interview with E! News, the duo have mutually selected Italy as their dream honeymoon destination.

We both want to go to Italy. [But] she guessed Hawaii for me, and I think I guessed the same thing because I thought she would put Hawaii for me.

But we both actually wanted to go to Italy. So, now we know. Amalfi Coast, hopefully. Now it’s at the top of our list.

Apparently, it all happened after the couple was individually asked about their potential honeymoon destination, as a part of their newlyweds-style game during their press tour, back in March 2024.
