Another Hollyoaks star signs for rival show Coronation Street amid mass departures

The Hollyoaks actor was embroiled in one of the soap's most controversial storylines ever before quitting the role last year, and has now been signed up for a rival show

Hollyoaks actor Ryan Mulvey has reportedly been signed up by rival soap Coronation Street just a few weeks after quitting the long-running series.

He played JJ Osborne on the Chester-based series and was involved in one of its most controversial plots of recent years which centred on the shocking abuse he inflicted on his twin sister Frankie.

According to The Sun, Ryan will make his first appearance on the cobbles of Weatherfield in a few weeks as part of a new storyline. He joined the Hollyoaks cast in January 2024, just before show execs announced the show would be cut from five days a week to three, and a mass cull of characters began.
