Neighbours has released the first official synopsis for its 40th anniversary episodes, which will air in the week commencing Monday, March 17.
Last week, show bosses confirmed that the milestone anniversary episodes will focus on Leo Tanaka and Krista Sinclair’s wedding celebrations.
Krista and Leo got engaged at Christmas, but things have been tense thanks to Krista’s half-sister Fallon Morell’s scheming and Krista’s best friend Sebastian Metcalfe’s manipulation.
Upcoming episodes will see Sebastian return to Erinsborough and, in a huge twist, Fallon tells Krista she slept with Leo.
Before confirming whether or not this is true, Krista gives into temptation and sleeps with Sebastian, thinking that Leo cheated on her.
On the wedding day, Krista will be forced to make a huge decision, deciding whether she can still go ahead with the marriage after sleeping with Sebastian.
Show bosses are keeping the outcome a secret but new spoilers released by the soap ahead of the 40th anniversary celebration teased that wedding guests will gather on Monday, March 17 to find out if it will still go ahead.
Then on Tuesday, March 18, the residents of Ramsay Street will be “trapped in fiery peril”.
Also that week, a sinister event will take place which pits neighbours against one another, while bringing some closer together.
