Bachelor Nation fans got to know Ali Fedotowsky-Manno on Season 14 of “The Bachelor” with Jake Pavelka and once again when she returned to our screens for Season 6 of “The Bachelorette” as the leading lady.
Since her time on the shows, Ali married Kevin Manno in 2017 and gave birth to their two kids, Molly and Riley.
Earlier this year, Ali took to Instagram to share the news that Kevin had been diagnosed with thyroid cancer.
She has been keeping fans updated about his journey, including needing surgery on his thyroid.
Now, the Bachelor Nation star is sharing another update after Kevin’s surgery that revealed some good news.
She wrote, “The surgery went great and they only had to take half out! We went in, not knowing if they’d have to take the whole thing or half but thankfully, it did not metastasized through his lymph nodes, and it really was the best possible scenario!”
Ali continued and shared that they received the news after his surgery that Kevin’s cancer is completely gone.
She said, “Happy to report that we officially found out today that Kevin’s pathology report came back negative! (after the surgery, they had to send his thyroid to pathology to make sure they got all the margins and got all the cancer out and they did!) He is officially cancer free!”
Ali revealed in her caption that Kevin will most likely have to take medication for the rest of his life, but they’re very happy to share the news that his cancer is gone.
“Very, very happy to report this news! Now all we have to do is see how his half of a thyroid does,” she shared, “It’s likely that he will have to go on medication the rest of his life, but it’s kind of a wait-and-see at this point! Thank you for all the love and support! @kevinmanno and I appreciate it so much!”
We are so happy to hear that Kevin is cancer-free, and we continue to send our love to Ali and her entire family!
