Neighbours brings back Amanda Harris next month – nearly 38 years after her last appearance in the show.
Briony Behets is reprising her role as Jane Harris’s mother, who’ll be reconnecting with her family once she arrives back in town.
We can confirm that Amanda reappears on screen from Wednesday, April 23.
New spoiler pictures show that Amanda takes up residence at Eirini Rising, moving into one of the spare rooms in the retirement community.
The photos show Amanda interacting with her daughter Jane and grandchildren Byron and Nicolette in her room at Eirini Rising.
There’s also a first look at Amanda introducing herself to the likes of Darcy Tyler and Sadie Rodwell.
Amanda – the daughter of busybody Mrs Mangel – previously appeared on Neighbours as a guest character in several episodes in 1987. Briony Behets later returned to play another character, Kate Newton, in 2008.
The latest set of Neighbours spoiler photos also reveal several other pieces of casting news.
Ryan Moloney reprises his role as Toadie Rebecchi on Thursday, May 1, turning up to support his daughter Nell when she needs him most.
Elsewhere, Natassia Halabi is to take on the role of Sadra, a woman who appears to take a shine to Andrew Rodwell during his exercise class.
Cassandra Magrath is another guest star who’ll be appearing soon, taking on the role of Lydia in scenes with Taye Obasi.
