Neighbours reveals Harold Bishop’s emotional exit storyline

Neighbours spoilers follow.
Neighbours airs emotional farewell scenes for Harold Bishop next week.
The legendary character bows out from Erinsborough, nearly a year after he returned to town and moved into Eirini Rising.
Upcoming scenes explore a time of change at the retirement community.
Agnes Adair officially moves into one of the empty apartments following the recent sale of her home. Sadly, though, the Madge lookalike won’t get her chance to live in close proximity to Harold.
Harold surprises everyone when he reveals that he has decided to move back to Queensland to stay with his granddaughter Sky Mangel and her wife Lana Crawford permanently.
He reaches out to Agnes before he goes, suggesting that they should stay in touch as pen pals following the big revelation that she’s part of the Ramsay and Robinson families.
Later, the Ramsay Street residents gather to throw a farewell party for Harold.
Harold insists that Agnes should join the celebrations and he takes the opportunity to give her a tour of Number 24, his old home.
As Harold shows Agnes around, he shares plenty of memories of Madge.
Everyone reminisces further back at the Kennedy house when the Ramsay Street history book is brought out.
Ian Smith announced in December that he’d finished filming at Neighbours after being diagnosed with an “aggressive” form of terminal cancer.
Cast and crew gathered to support the beloved actor on his last day on set, where he said: “It isn’t just my last day in Neighbours, it’s my last day of work.
“I’ve had the most privileged life. We didn’t just make soap, we made the best bloody soap there was to make. And I’ve met the most beautiful people.”
More recently, Ian has shared a positive update on his health after undergoing experimental treatment. He recently revealed that his life expectancy has been extended to December 2026, giving him much more time than he’d expected.
Neighbours airs Harold’s final scenes on Monday, April 14.
Neighbours releases new episodes from Mondays to Thursdays for free on Amazon Freevee and Prime Video in the UK and US. In Australia, the show airs from Mondays to Thursdays at 4pm on Channel 10, with a 6.30pm repeat screening on 10 Peach Comedy.
