Bachelor Nation got to know and love Susan Noles on Season 1 of “The Golden Bachelor.”
Since her time on the show, she’s kept fans updated with her life on social media and on the “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour” podcast that she co-hosts with BFF Kathy Swarts.
Kathy and Susan have famously enjoyed frequent girls trips to St. Martin and the two have a blast on the island.
And now, Susan has revealed that their last girls trip together was even more special because she found love while on the island.
On a new episode of “Bachelor Happy Hour: Golden Hour,” she shared, “I’ve been holding onto this secret for a little bit now. I did meet someone, and I know I’ve been talking about being single because I didn’t know where it was gonna go. I know what I felt but wanted to make sure we were both on the same page. And I just have to share that we are! We were having fun and just seeing where things were going, and now I can honestly say he’s the real deal. I have found my person.”
Susan then dished about how it happened and revealed it was all very unexpected.
“Kathy and I were having a fabulous vacation and one night we went to bed,” she said. “She was upstairs, I was in my room, and I was playing games on my computer and I could not sleep. And I thought, you know what? What have I got to lose? I went on Tinder. See everybody, it does work when you least expect it! And trust and believe me, I used to be on all the dating sites forever. So I tried it and I saw somebody, I swiped, and then I didn’t get on for like three days… I decided to check back in and there was a message and I was like ‘Oh!’ So that was the fun part. Of course he is French and he speaks French.”
Susan shared his name is Frederic, he is 14 years younger than she is, and speaks very little English. But the two have been able to communicate through a translation app.
And when reflecting on their chemistry and whether she would want to go on “Bachelor in Paradise,” Susan admitted, “It’s undeniable. Just when you think it’s never going to happen, it happens… So I decided not to go to ‘Paradise’ because I found the love of my life.”
Kathy then asked her co-host if she and Frederic have told each other they love one another since they started dating in February, and Susan replied they have.
“I can’t even explain this feeling,” she expressed. “I think he is everything I’ve ever dreamed of. The way he treats me and takes care of me. Kathy, when I broke my arm, I needed to shower. The man showered me, shaved my legs, washed me, I mean he took care of me like no other. They don’t make them like this. I don’t know where it came from, but I’m blessed. I feel blessed.”
