In a few weeks’ time, Mercedes will be reunited with her evil son Bobby Costello, but he’ll have a brand-new face.
Digital Spy exclusively revealed this week that Waterloo Road actor Zak Sutcliffe has taken over the role, having previously played troubled Schuey Weever in the BBC school drama.
Following his first day on set and ahead of his first appearance, he told us that: “I’m having a lot of fun with my time on Hollyoaks so far. It’s exciting to get into something gritty and complex.”
Given Mercedes’ time in prison and her ongoing battle with bowel cancer, it’s sure to be an emotional reunion, but will it be a happy one?
