Tamara Wall, 47, plays Grace Black in the long-running Channel 4 soap.

She told fans she was shopping in Morrisons in Warrington when the health incident struck, and wrote in her caption: “Dear @morrisons I need you to know how amazing your staff in Warrington are!!”

She then uploaded a snap showing her post-incident, smiling with staff member Mark Abernethy clad in his uniform, and added: “This guy in particularly was my actual hero when I collapsed in their store, I cannot give enough thanks to all the staff for being so unbelievable lovely!”

The image showed Tamara, back to full health, beaming as she took her selfie with Mark.

He then sweetly replied and posted: “It was my pleasure @tamarawall13 and I’m glad your ok.”

Her Hollyoaks co star Gemma Bissix then commented: “Yayyyyy you went back!!! Thank you to all at Morrisons Warrington for looking after my sis!!!”

She added: “Also you are my HERO… coming into work the next day filming a full day of scenes!!!

“Sick day? What sick day? x”

At the time, viewers watched as Grace was sent to prison for her role in a botched heist plan.

Yet it proved to be her exit storyline and Tamara told of her sheer emotion at her axe and said: “It’s absolutely devastating.

“When I got told, I bawled my eyes out for three days, I was so upset – it’s been the best time of my life.”

She added to OK! Magazine: “It wasn’t my decision, but I understand. It’s the name of the game, and Grace was going to get her comeuppance at some point.

“In the end, she probably deserved it.

“But I’m sure she’ll find her way out eventually, she’ll be back.”

And Tamara was proved correct, with the soap’s new executive producer Hannah Cheers signing her back onto the cast list in 2024.
