Hollyoaks confirms unexpected aftermath of Lucas and Dillon cheating scandal

The animosity settles between Lucas Hay (Oscar Curtis) and Dillon Ray (Nathaniel Dass) in Hollyoaks next week as the former couple share a emotional heart-to-heart.
Dillon, as viewers know, has struggled to be open about his feelings in the wake of his exploitation ordeal, finding it difficult to tell Lucas about what he went through.
Lucas, meanwhile, has had his own demons to contend with following an operation to remove a brain tumour, with the teen’s anger and aggression spiralling, much to the concern of dad Ste (Kieron Richardson).
The situation escalates dramatically in scenes set to his screens this week as Lucas walks in on Dillon, who has relapsed, having sex with a girl.
Lucas is devastated, with matters getting worse when Dillon refers to him in front of the girl as his ‘ex’.
Ste takes control of the situation and puts Dillon to bed while offering advice to Lucas, who is unable to stay in the flat in the wake of Dillon’s betrayal.
Dillon subsequently tells Lucas over text that he deserves better, which leaves the teen so angry that he starts to attack himself. Desperate to get him to stop, Ste pleads with Lucas to instead attack him.
Lucas does just that and next week Ste is covered in bruises. However, the dad’s concern is only his son’s wellbeing and thus he books him an emergency hospital appointment to get to the bottom of the violent behaviour.
The scans all come back clear, leaving the doctor convinced that an emotional response to trauma could very well a contributing factor.

Lucas storms off, with Ste confronting him on the subject.Dillon, meanwhile, leaves Ste a voicemail saying that he will confess to the shooting, believing that he’s caused enough hurt and torment. Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) pleads with him to keep quiet, telling him that they’ll stick together.

Donny (Louis Emerick) and Misbah Maalik (Harvey Virdi), however, are left speechless by his outburst.
What happens next remains to be seen but, later in the week, Dillon takes a huge step as he attends his first NA session. Ste and Lucas are on hand to support him in the aftermath and, in emotional scenes, Dillon apologises to Lucas for what he did.

New pictures of the scene in question confirms a hug shared between the two characters. Is there hope of a HayRay reunion?
The jury is still out but Dillon confides in Ste that he doesn’t feel worthy of getting better and asks him to be his sponsor.
