Hollyoaks confirms major Clare and Grace twist as story takes very unexpected turn

Grace Black (Tamara Wall) is riddled with guilt in Hollyoaks next week and thus tells Clare Devine (Gemma Bissix) that the time has come to hand themselves into the police.
Clare, as viewers know, was discreetly running an exploitation operation in the village she used to call home, with husband DI Banks (Drew Cain) taking on the leadership role.
Unaware of her sister’s involvement, Grace worked her way up the ranks and – with help from brother Rex Gallagher (Jonny Labey) – she groomed a number of teens in the village, including her own ‘niece’ Frankie Osborne (Isabelle Smith).
Fans were shocked by just how far Grace went and she soon faced the wrath of the villagers, who berated her for endangering their children.
Clare, meanwhile, was livid to discover Grace’s role in Tori ending up back in the Blakes’ care and thus attempted to have Robbie Roscoe (Charlie Wernham) – who was held prisoner by Grace for months – dispose of her sister.
Vicky Grant (Anya Lawrence) subsequently attacked Grace in a bid to save Robbie, who suffered a panic attack during his attempt to murder the gangster. Grace was subsequently rushed to hospital and was in a coma for weeks.

However, she woke up last week – and was unexpectedly full of remorse for what she did.
Vicky, who feared that her role in Grace’s attack would come back to bite her, confronted her nemesis in powerful scenes at the hospital, taking back control from her captor, refusing to let her call the shots.
Realising the damage she’s done, Grace broke down in tears but, knowing the teen’s trauma was down to the exploitation ordeal, she didn’t strike back.

In fact, she encouraged Frankie and Vicky to rescue Bobby Costello (Zak Sutcliffe) and Jacob Omari (Ethaniel Davy) from Clare’s grip.
Next week, Grace is determined to make things right and thus sneaks out of the hospital, telling Clare that she thinks they should confess everything to the police.
The situation between the two sisters escalate and Grace comes to realise that Clare has a wig on, prompting her to reveal that she has stage 4 cancer. Grace isn’t convinced at first, questioning if her sibling is lying, but Clare asserts that she’s telling the truth.

After learning that Dodger Savage (Danny Mac) is on his way back earlier than expected with Tori, Grace vows to help her sister get Tori back.
Will Grace uncover the truth about Clare? And has she really turned over a new leaf?
