Hollyoaks reveals culprit after Rex receives two sinister threats

Hollyoaks spoilers follow for the latest episode to air on E4 and stream on the Channel 4 service.
Hollyoaks has revealed who’s sending Rex Gallagher threats after his release from prison earlier this week.
Tonight’s episode began with Rex and Ste Hay waking up together after a night of passion — but Lucas walked in on them kissing in the living room.
They tried to explain, but Lucas angrily told Rex to leave and slammed the door behind him. Alone, Lucas cornered a nervous-looking Ste and berated him, coldly brushing off his dad’s talk of putting things right, and a second chance at happiness.
Rex later turned up at The Hutch, where Darren Osborne told him he would never be accepted in the village after what he did, despite Ste saying Rex had worked with the police to bring down the trafficking operation.
Dillon Hay stepped forward and asked if “anyone cares what one his actual victims thinks”.
“Obviously nothing’s going to change what he did, but he’s the reason the ring got shut down, and he risked his life to do it,” he stated. “So I say he deserves a chance. And if you two are starting again, that’s okay with me.”
While things looked to be on the up for Rex, a mysterious figure broke into vandalised Ste’s house and sprayed “We are coming” over the mirror before texting Rex photos of it.
When Rex and Ste returned home, they saw a note in some flowers that read: “Time to pay the price.”
Donny Clarke arrived shortly after and Rex was worried that Ste, Lucas, Dillon and baby James could all be in danger, while Ste called Lucas and said that he and Dillon needed to go stay somewhere else that was safe.
Donny offered to let the teens and baby James stay with him and Misbah Maalik, which they did.
As the episode ended with the trio unpacking their stuff at Misbah’s, the camera revealed a glimpse of the aerosol can in Lucas’ bag…
